Clarity over cleverness.
We choose the simplest solution that solves the problem. Complexity is not a virtue — it's tech debt on a payment plan.
A small, focused studio from Upper Austria. Web design, AI consulting, and software development under one roof — instead of coordinating three agencies.
It started with an observation. We live in the Salzkammergut region — and we noticed that even the best-known, largest agencies in the area were delivering websites that load slowly, look outdated, and often launch without proper cookie consent.
So we did our own research. Multiple inquiries with various agencies. The result was sobering: websites that should be standard in our view — fast, mobile, GDPR-compliant — were being sold as premium packages. €10,000 to €15,000 for a basic website.
That made it clear: We can do this better. And cheaper.
After our first projects, the next realization came. Good websites are genuinely time-intensive — handcrafted design, clean code, well-thought-out content. That's where AI came in: we built our own platform to automate standard tasks and deliver premium quality at standard prices. Our internal tool became Lindy AI — today a product that other agencies can also use.
We've been working actively with artificial intelligence from day one. We constantly upskill — the market moves too fast to stand still. Jakob brings deep IT experience, Jonas the eye for design and strategy. Together we were sure: We're the right people to turn this industry on its head.
If a proposal violates one of these, it doesn't make it into the build.
We choose the simplest solution that solves the problem. Complexity is not a virtue — it's tech debt on a payment plan.
We build so your team still understands what we did two years from now. Readable code, documented decisions.
We hand over a platform that runs without us. No vendor lock-in, no secret tools, no hidden dependencies.
Two founders. Complementary disciplines. One shared language. You speak directly with those who build.
Responsible for brand strategy, design language, and client guidance. Spends more time cutting sentences than writing them.
Builds the platforms and server setups you don't see — and the AI workflows that run in the background. IT background from day one.
You speak with the two people who actually build your project. No sales chain, no handoffs, no waiting for replies.
One-pager in 48 hours. Multi-page websites in 7–10 working days. While others are still scheduling kickoff, we're already live.
Possible because we're efficient — not because we skimp on quality. Fixed prices before kickoff. No hourly billing, no surprises.
If a one-pager is enough, we tell you — even though a multi-page would mean more revenue for us. We don't sell anything you don't really need.
Let's talk — and find out if we're on the same wavelength.
Answers to the most common questions — to the point, more detail when you expand.
Ascend Media is a studio in Upper Austria, founded in 2023 by Jonas Huber (strategy, design, AI) and Jakob Loidl (coding, servers, AI). We are a two-person team with complementary disciplines. Instead of a large agency with many account managers, you get a single direct point of contact who guides your project from start to finish.
Ascend means to rise. We believe a good website or a smartly deployed AI doesn't just mean a step forward — but a whole new level. That's exactly what we want to build for our clients: not optimization of what exists, but a different kind of leverage.
We observed the classic agency market in the Salzkammergut — and noticed that even the largest agencies delivered websites that load slowly, look outdated, and sometimes don't even comply with GDPR. At the same time, they charged €10,000 to €15,000 for basic websites. We wanted to prove it could be done faster, more honestly, and more affordably — as a small studio, not a scaling agency.
Four things we promise in writing:
Our studio is based in Upper Austria, in the Salzkammergut region. We work across DACH — throughout Austria (Linz, Vienna, Graz, Salzburg) as well as for clients in Germany and Switzerland. In-person meetings within the extended Upper Austria area are easy to arrange; everything else runs remote via video call.
